DMC's stranded cotton is made from 100% long-staple Egyptian cotton. The cotton comes on a strand of six allowing easy separation to find the thickness to suit your project. This cotton is colourfast to 95° C and its double mercerised finish makes it shiny and perfect for embroidery or cross-stitching projects.
To separate the cotton strands, find the skein end with the tail that sticks out. Gently pull the tail out from the skein slowly until you have an 18" length of floss and cut it off. If you'd like to separate the thread into individual strands, pull one strand up and out slowly until it's fully separated from the others.
